Training

In conjunction with our mission statement all Cranbrook Security personnel are trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, Active Shooter Response, Suspicious Persons, Active Patrol, Fire Safety, Traffic Management, as well as countless other Security & Safety disciplines. Below are some of the highlights of our current training initiatives, as well as the training we offer to members of the Cranbrook Community.

Training Initiatives

Annually Cranbrook Security conducts Fire Evolution Cross Training with Local Fire Departments including; Bloomfield Hills Public Safety, Troy & Bloomfield Township Fire Departments, as well as Berkley Public Safety. These cross-training initiatives allow local first responders to acclimate themselves to our campus while allowing Cranbrook Security the unique opportunity to work in collaboration with these departments. Furthermore, Cranbrook Dispatchers are offered an opportunity to shadow a Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Dispatcher for 4 hours to better understand their department operations while seeing the similarities between Cranbrook Security Dispatcher Center, law enforcement and other Emergency Dispatch Centers.

Training We Provide

In an effort to provide security awareness to all of Cranbrook, below are the following training programs Cranbrook Security offers to Cranbrook faculty, staff, students, volunteers and other members of the Cranbrook Community.

This training is led by Cranbrook’s Director of Security & Safety Calvin Vincent in conjunction with Bloomfield Hills Public Safety.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED
    • A 2-4hour long course that certifies participants through the American Red Cross in three life savings skills. This training is lead by Calvin Vincent and Cranbrook’s Manager of Security & Safety Lauren Bonus.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
    • This 15-minute training program will educate participants on proper procedures, steps, and safeguards when dealing with bloodborne pathogens.
  • Security Awareness Presentations
