Cranbrook Academy of Art is delighted to present its annual exhibition of work by the 2012 class of Masters of Fine Arts and Masters of Architecture students in the newly renovated galleries of Cranbrook Art Museum.
Cranbrook Announces Leadership Transition
Cranbrook Educational Community announced today that President Rick Nahm will retire at the end of Cranbrook’s current fiscal year on June 30. The Cranbrook Board of Trustees has elected current Chief Operating Officer Dom DiMarco as President effective July 1.
Cranbrook Offers BEHIND THE SCENES 2012 Exploring Cranbrook’s Collections
Go behind the scenes to experience Cranbrook in unique ways not usually accessible to the public. From the study of objects associated with the various institutions across campus to interaction with directors, curators and educators, Exploring Cranbrook’s Collections immerses the visitor in the history, art, sights, stories and geography of Cranbrook’s National Historic Landmark campus.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Cranbrook Academy of Art and Art Museum present the Banff Mountain Film Festival in partnership with Moosejaw stores. The festival features the world's best footage on mountain subjects. The films range from productions created by first-time filmmakers to professional crews working with companies like the BBC and National Geographic. Tickets are available March 12 at Moosejaw Stores in Birmingham and Rochester only.
Cranbrook Institute of Science and Detroit Public Schools Forge Groundbreaking Educational Partnership Program
Cranbrook Institute of Science and Detroit Public Schools announced today a broad partnership that will provide extraordinary, customized experiences in the natural sciences to DPS students, their families and faculty members.
 
The intent of the collaboration is to transform science learning in DPS via a public school district partnering with a cultural institution to offer students in-depth, hands-on exposure to science and technology with an emphasis on core science concepts and their application to contemporary science issues.
