The Detroit Institute of Arts comes to Cranbrook
Visitors to Cranbrook Institute of Science this fall have the opportunity to experience something unusual for a science museum--the chance to see a great work of art. As part of the celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cranbrook is joining the DIA: Inside|Out exhibition which brings reproductions of famous works of art from the DIA's permanent collection to the main streets of Metro Detroit. Cranbrook is participating with the installation of Canaletto's The Piazza San Marco on the lawn opposite the parking structure at the Institute of Science. For a complete list of the cities and organizations involved in the project, including a location map, visit www.dia.org.
